Erik's Accident

Yesterday when we were getting ready to have some friends over Erik had a little accident. We have a sliding door that leads out to the back patio. Since Erik knows how to open the screen sliding door we usually put up a gate so that Erik can't go outside without our knowing. Doug had been climbing over the gate so he could get supplies and food to grill on our barbecue grill. Erik saw what he was doing and thought he could get outside the same way. While I was 2 feet away doing the dishes I hear Erik crying. I thought he had gone in the bathroom and closed the door and couldn't get out. When in fact he was outside over the gate screaming his head off! Luckily he only got a good size bruise/bump on his forehead. I had Doug check all over for any other bumps or scrapes that would warrant a trip to the hospital, but we didn't find anything except a little scrape on one of his elbows. I am so glad that he wasn't hurt badly, because he fell on concrete. Here are some pics of his battle wound.
